This book is the recreation of the 1880 and then the 1903 Presbyterian ladies of Liberty Missouri’s Economy Cook Books, but we have included a little something extra. The ladies identified themselves and were listed under their married husband’s name, and we knew next to nothing about them personally. Through careful research at the Clay County Archives we were able to identify most of them and therefore write their life stories. Please enjoy the pictures and biographies included. It is our hope that you have your own cooking adventure while you learn about cooking during the turn of the century. Please consider stirring up a little history of your own.
